alacare employees Michele Laton and Dana scott honored by Alacare
Birmingham, AL—Dana Scott of Alabaster and Michele Laton, RN, of Pelham are recipients of the Alacare CEO’s Excellence Award. They work at the agency’s Birmingham Corporate Headquarters and were selected for this honor from among Alacare employees across the state of Alabama.
The award was created to recognize Alacare employees who go above and beyond the requirements of their jobs. “It is given in appreciation of those employees who strive for excellence with a can-do attitude, who display a positive attitude in and out of the workplace, who go beyond job requirements without being asked or who have performed extraordinary acts of helpfulness or kindness, “ said Alacare’s CEO, Susan B. Brouillette, MPH, MBA.
“Dana received this award for her tireless patience and long hours in implementing our new electronic documentation system, as well as for her baking her renowned cakes to help brighten the birthdays of our hospice patients, said Ms. Brouillette.” Scott is a programmer/analyst in Alacare’s Information Technology Department.
“Michele received this award because of her positive, can-do attitude in always accepting whatever role she is asked to play at Alacare, including reassignment to a branch when necessary,” Ms. Brouillette continued. “Her good works extend outside of Alacare, as well. She has served on a volunteer mission to South America and has worked locally to procure resources for families in distress.” Laton is part of Alacare’s Education Department.
