Decatur, AL—Jamie Harbin, RN, has been awarded the Alacare Services Integration Award for Staff. Harbin is the Branch Director at Alacare’s Decatur Branch.

This award honors a staff member who has demonstrated extraordinary enthusiasm for and dedication to the integration of home health and hospice services for our patients,” said Debra Leonard, RN Alacare’s Chief Clinical Officer. “Jamie is a perfect example of just such an employee.”Although Harbin has recently been promoted to her management role, the award recognizes the work she did prior to that promotion.
“Jamie is first and foremost a patient advocate, always assessing her patients’ cases to make sure they are receiving the appropriate level of service. Starting out with Alacare as a home health case manager, she later became the hospice clinical manager, giving her an excellent feel for both aspects of care,” Leonard said. “She just gets what we do and grasps the integration of home health and hospice, consistently promoting the concept of integration with her co-workers.”
