ONeonta Home Health & Hospice Nurse Barbara Johnson honored
Oneonta, AL—Barbara Johnson, RN, Clinical Manager of Alacare’s Oneonta Branch, is the winner of the annual Pat Hyche Nursing Award from Alacare Home Health & Hospice. She was selected for this honor from among Alacare employees across the state of Alabama.
“The Pat Hyche Nursing Award was created to recognize the Alacare nurse who demonstrated extraordinary professionalism, compassion, and service to patients and colleagues during the previous year,” said John G. Beard, JD, MBA, President of Alacare Home Health & Hospice. “Barbara certainly fits that description.”
The recipient of the Pat Hyche Nursing Award recipient must have exceeded the demands of his/her position and contributed extra time, energy and resources to improving life and providing service to the patients of Alacare Home Health & Hospice.
According to Mr. Beard, Ms. Johnson is the kind of person you think of when you hear the word “nurse”—tireless, hardworking, upbeat and supportive. “She cares deeply about the patients, and making sure they receive the best possible care is always her primary goal.”
“Barbara is an excellent example of the true meaning of our Agency’s philosophy of care—she really lives our mission statement,” Beard added.
