irmingham, Alabama—There will soon be a new option for people in the Birmingham area who require some assistance in their homes. Alacare Nursing Options, opening February 1, 2006, will offer assistance services for the disabled, sick and elderly.The name Alacare Nursing Options was previously used for a division of Alacare Home Health & Hospice. Now revamped and operating as a separate private duty company under the direction of Joan Hill, RN, Alacare Nursing Options will not offer skilled nursing services, but will provide personal care assistance, companion/sitter and homemaking services.
“There is certainly a growing need for this type of care as the Baby Boomers age,” Hill says, “so we think this service will be very successful.”
