Selena Matthews Becomes Certified HOspice Administrator
Huntsville, Alabama—Selena Matthews, RN, attended the 3-day Advanced Hospice Administrator Certificate Program in Las Vegas, Nevada. After passing the Hospice Certification Exam on the last day of the course, she is now considered a Certified Hospice Administrator. Matthews is the Hospice Clinical Director of the Northern Region for Alacare Home Health & Hospice.
The goal of the program is to provide specific and concrete examples to strategically position a hospice organization for growth, including budgeting and legal impacts of specific policies. “I know this program has enhanced my ability to plan for success with Alacare,” says Matthews, who has been employed with that agency for 6 years. “It really takes participants beyond the basics to bring a whole new level of understanding.”
