Medicare Site Addition Links to NAHC, Explores Caregivers' Stories, Describes Coverage and Patients' Rights
http://news.nahc.org/t/441174/62647/1945/0/http://news.nahc.org/t/441174/62647/1945/0/The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has unveiled a major new web resource for caregivers, seniors, and their families to help navigate Medicare benefits and long-term care needs. The new website, activated Sept. 18, is part of the Medicare program's consumer site and includes links to help locate providers of services. It also provides a link to direct users seeking information on home care and hospice services to the National Association for Home Care & Hospice's (NAHC) home page.
The new Medicare caregiver site, www.Medicare.gov/Caregivers, helps users access the sizeable amount of consumer information the Medicare program has made available and connect with other organizations such as NAHC that provide reliable information for caregivers and those seeking care and assistance services. "The right kind of support can go a long way to help people continue to lead independent, productive lives at home," a document featured on the Medicare caregiver site states. Some of the documents users will find on the caregiver site provide information on accessing in-home or community services or for those who are considering hospice services.
