     ALACARE NAMES DR. STEVE LOVELADY TUSCALOOSA HOME HEALTH MEDICAL DIRECTOR

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Alacare Home Health & Hospice is pleased to introduce Steve Ray Lovelady, MD, the newest Home Health Medical Director of the company's Tuscaloosa branch. Dr. Lovelady began his work with the Tuscaloosa branch in December 2009.

Specializing in family medicine for the last 23 years, Dr. Lovelady opened his own practice in Tuscaloosa in April 2006. Before coming to Alacare, Dr. Lovelady took a staff position at West Alabama Family Practice & Sports Medicine. He also had physician appointments at Tuscaloosa MedCenter South, Northriver Emergency Physicians and Emergi-Care Clinic.

A Tide fan for life, Dr. Lovelady received both his undergraduate degree as well as his medical degree from the University of Alabama. He was awarded Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude while completing his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Post-graduation, he received the William R. Willard Award for Most Outstanding Intern in 1984. During his Family Practice Residency at the College of Community Health Sciences as Chief Resident, he was highly honored, as well.

Outside of work, Dr. Lovelady is married and the proud father of three children. He is as an Elder at Trinity Presbyterian Church.
