ALACARE HOSTS FOUNDER'S DAY 2010 ON MAY 8 AT BIRMINGHAM ZOO LODGE
Celebration benefits Hospice & Home Health Fund of Alabama
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Alacare Home Health & Hospice - the oldest, largest, family-owned home health agency in Alabama - will be holding its annual Founder's Day Celebration 2010 on Saturday, May 8 at the Birmingham Zoo Lodge with festivities beginning at 2:00 p.m. This is an annual fundraising event for the Hospice & Home Health Fund of AlabamaTM (HHHFA), a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization.
Attendees will enjoy hot dogs, hamburgers and barbeque and will even have a chance to compete in the Coconut Cake contest. Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children. Children ages 2 and under are free. The ticket price includes admission to the zoo.
As in years past, this event not only honors the memory of founders - Charles D. Beard, Jr. and his wife, Mary Sue - but also raises money to assist low income elderly patients using home health or hospice services who are in need of financial aid for a non-visit problem. Without help from HHHFA, these patients might not be able to continue receiving care in their home. HHHFA helps provide:
